There is a comfort in operating as a professional. The type of comfort that eventually allows you to sleep soundly at night. To be free with yourself in a way that offers stability and sanity.

Acting in a professional manner allows people to remove themselves, personally, from a dialog, debate or decision. Even though — the dialog or debate may be entirely about human issues, short comings or the greater dysfunction that is so often perpetuated because of people acting unprofessionally.

When professionals come to an impasse with their associates or colleagues, they don’t stop what they are doing and hide their head in the sand. A real professional, when faced with an inoperable decision will blow the whistle or gracefully back out of their charge, recognizing the impasse they have come to. This is the integrity and humility that comes with true professionalism.

Professionals thrive on the challenge of seeing the problem or mistake, researching what their predecessors have come to understand, and creating a resolution based on their findings. A professional will see the issue causing the disconnect and work at resolving differences in opinions — using facts and the relative information being offered by their colleagues.

Because much of the world’s economy is still based on unnecessary commodities and services, working as professional within your field has become sullied by greed and arrogant ignorance. As our world grows smaller — boundaries blurred by the ravages of man made wars and the climate catastrophes brought on by an inability to acknowledge truth and the consequence of action — we need the two edged blessing of professionalism, working writ large in our collective works, in an effort to mend something that has been broken for all the wrong reasons — for far too long.

Although some would like us to believe otherwise, it is not a crime to specialize in one field. Even though the voice of the professional has been neglected and lost in the din of the void of our greater ignorance or subconsciousness — their voices are slowly rising from the tsunami of information and the unregulated preponderance of #MisInformation our hyper connected of world offers each of us. Listen. Can you hear it? It’s the #VoiceOfReason. It’s the often dreaded, shunned but mostly ignored #VoiceOfTruth.

There is peace that comes in acting as a professional and supporting professionalism. I encourage you to take a lesson from a professional — any true professional. Listen to and support them as they continue to face and uncover the truths of our times. Not everyone has to be a professional, but we do need to acknowledge their work and sacrifice for the sake of the #GreaterTruth. ✨💖🌎💖✨
